Maintenance Supervisor
Our Maintenance Supervisor executes facility projects by organizing, planning, and overseeing project tasks. Our Maintenance Supervisor will complete quality inspections and supervise all project members, including staff and subcontractors .
Your role in caring for our company :
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :
- Manage a team of employees including work schedules, project process, individual performance, and resource allocation.
- Create cost estimates for labor, supplies materials, and other project / facility costs.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to determine budget and timeline of projects.
- Order, inspect, and verify quality and quantity of all materials and supplies.
- Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
- Manage a daily log for facility's operations, reporting to management as necessary.
- Implement and manage techniques which are cost efficient and effective.
- Maintain a high degree of integrity and loyalty toward the Company.
- Responsible for building and grounds maintenance.
- Ensure that the facility is clean, organized, and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
- Maintain good relationships with company team members and vendors.
- Ensure team follows safety procedures to avoid incidents and injuries.
- Confirm security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.
- Irrigation skid repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting; ensure units are working 100% of the time with no downtime on either irrigation skid, dosers, EC, pH, pumps, valves, leaks etc. (calibrating pH sensors)
- Greenhouse equipment : identify malfunctioning equipment and oversee fixing either in house or contractors as well as preventative maintenance.
- Drain pits : maintain pumps and cleanliness, indoor, greenhouse, ebb.
- Responsible for lighting panel maintenance with Ellsworth.
- Oversee roof washing and coating of chalk in the summer.
- Monitor chiller and pump and partner with Boland when necessary.
- Monitor MSP and partner with Boland as necessary.
- Manage daily logs, assign repair tasks and maintain digital work order system in eMaint.
- Responsible for fertilizer mixing and systems functionality.
- Maintain fogging machine, including cleaning and repairs.
Team Leadership & Performance Analytics
Collaborate effectively with the Human Resources Department and appropriate partners to implement and manage the company's policies and procedures.Partner with the Human Resources Department to monitor staff performance, provide timely feedback, along with development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and conduct annual performance evaluations.Retain and develop top performers by understanding individual's motivations and providing actionable feedback.Addresses low performance quickly, compassionately, and in alignment with company policies.All other duties as necessary.
Qualifications we ask you to have :
For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.We ask that you have at least a high school diploma / GED. Bachelor's degree is preferred.We ask that you have a minimum five (5) years of prior experience as a supervisor.We ask that you have at least five (5) years of facilities management experience.We ask that you are comfortable with heights.Addition skills which will help you excel in your role :
Strong experience with inspections, predictive and preventive maintenance, planning, execution, root cause failure analysis, and improvements.Experience partnering and overseeing vendors / contractors.Experience with equipment repair and installations.If you have had fire extinguisher training, it will be beneficial to this role.Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct a Maintenance Department.We ask that you have strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.Honesty and integrity.Desire and ability to work as a member of a team.Excellent time management skills.Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.We ask that you have must have excellent leadership skills and business acumen.Ability to effectively manage, lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team.Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers.Strong work ethics – be accountable and proactive.Ability to foster collaboration and team environment.Work Schedule / Location :
