Quality Control Lab Analyst

The Opportunity :

Avantor is looking for a Quality Control Lab Analyst to join our Aurora, OH team. The Analyst will be responsible for sampling and testing of raw materials and finished products in the Quality Control laboratory.

The working schedule is Monday - Friday, from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM or 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM.

What we're looking for

• Education : Bachelor's Degree in a science discipline is required; Knowledge and experience in Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology is preferred
• Experience : 1-3 years of laboratory experience in a related field
• Collaboration Tool : Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access)
• Preferred Qualifications :

Wet chemistry experience preferred (ex. Acid / Base Titrations, water content)

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range oftemperature and noise level. At times, may be exposed to a variety of different chemicals including flammables, corrosives, oxidizers and others.

Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
