Position Overview :
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for performing detailed inspections on precision aerospace components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires experience using Sunnen bore gauges, Keyence measurement systems, and interpreting GD&T tolerances down to .0002" or smaller.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform in-process, first article, and final inspections of aerospace components and assemblies.
- Utilize precision measurement tools including Sunnen bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and Keyence inspection systems.
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications with tolerances as tight as .0002" or smaller.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify and report nonconformances and assist in root cause investigations when required.
- Support continuous improvement and corrective action initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer quality requirements.
Qualifications :
3+ years of experience in quality inspection within the aerospace or precision manufacturing industry.Proficient in the use of Sunnen bore gauges and Keyence measurement systems.Strong understanding of GD&T and precision measurement down to .0002" or smaller.Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and inspection plans.Experience with first article inspections and documentation (FAI / AS9102) preferred.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
