Animal Care And Control Inventory And Administrative Support
In this position, you will be providing a valued service, by assuring public health and safety by ensuring the animal shelter staff and Animal Control Officers have the necessary tools and equipment to complete their goals and drive the mission forward. While this position is inventory and administrative centered, the individual may occasionally be called upon to support general shelter needs. The animal shelter operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day including weekends and holidays. This position will work Monday through Friday, 8-4 : 30, but may be called upon to work weekend days as needed. Examples of this would be providing additional administrative support to adoptions or for spay / neuter clinic, or public offsite events.

Order supplies, track inventory, submit purchase orders, gather bids on services, put in work orders and IT tickets for staff, emailing, filing, organizing. Working with staff to determine best cost and sourcing for products to meet the needs of the facility. Assist the Chief Operating Officer with meeting agendas, taking notes and documentation of meeting activities, calendar management, organizing staff training. Perform such additional duties, with the required abilities and under the indicated working conditions and environment, as may properly be required of a position in this job class. Additional duties to this role may include : dog walking, dishes and laundry assistance in the shelter as needed, working with all staff to ensure the facility is kept clean and this may include occasional assistance with cleaning or other services for dogs or cats. Support intake processes by assisting with proper kennel placement, labeling, and animal documentation. Learn to use shelter software to add notes and activities and assist in administrative tasks associated with shelter animal management. Participate in shelter inventory, restocking supplies, and monitoring cleaning materials for safety compliance.
Equivalent to four years of experience in a general office environment. Experience working with domestic animals is preferred.
