Manager Accounting And Finance
Responsible for all aspects of accounting for Embraer US operations, including processes, programs, systems, and documentation. Ensure that all aspects of internal and external compliance are met, including with regard to CAS, FAR, DFAR, and IFRS, and that all reporting deadlines are met in a timely fashion. Maintain relations and communications with Embraer S.A. in order to ensure alignment on accounting / financial issues and consolidation. Engage in discussions at the operational and management levels of the company. Identify significant trends and areas for management attention. Manage and ensure the integrity of accounting and the security of company assets in accordance with corporate and local company business vision, objectives, policies and procedures. Support operational areas related to special projects, continuous improvements, business development, prices and other transactions. Oversee and direct all accounting functions, including establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures as well as local tax functions. Ensure that the company complies with our parent company's regulations and professional standards. Train and develop accounting staff on CAS, IFRS, FAR, DFAR and related requirements and implement standardization of accounting policies in alliance with those of our parent company. Work with outside auditors and other departments to ensure that deadlines are met. Analyze and review trial balances, entries, transactions in order to ensure compliance and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Create and maintain documentation of policies, procedures, and work instructions. Manage schedules, documentation, and support for internal and external audit activities. Enhance and / or develop, implement, and enforce financial policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems and information systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization. Document improvements opportunities in financial areas. Supervise professionals. Perform other duties as needed.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupations required. Experience must include : 3 years of experience : preparing, coordinating, and consolidating price and sales margin analysis; performing feasibility studies and return on investments; performing estimates and prices as a subcontractor to the U.S. Government's A-29 Defense Program according to FAR / DFAR regulations; supporting negotiations with various customers; leading Cost Accounting Standard "CAS" Assessment Project to adapt the company's cost system to become a US supplier; supporting cost structuring projects to achieve better margins and cash flow; utilizing or consulting Enterprise Systems like SAP, Cost Point, as well as Microsoft Office tools and computers. Experience can be concurrent.
