Position Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily warehouse operations with a focus on B2B fulfillment and compliance with key retailer requirements (Target, Walmart, Amazon, REI, and other national accounts). This role requires hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of routing guides, EDI processes, labeling requirements, and shipping standards specific to major retail partners. The Supervisor will ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant receiving, storage, pick / pack, and shipping activities while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Supervise warehouse staff to ensure accurate receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Assign, monitor, and review daily workloads; adjust priorities to meet retailer and customer deadlines.
- Train and coach employees on retailer compliance, proper handling, and warehouse best practices.
- Support implementation of WMS systems, process improvements, and efficiency initiatives.
Retailer & B2B Compliance
Maintain expert-level knowledge of routing guides, compliance manuals, and labeling / packaging requirements for major retailers (Target, Walmart, Amazon, REI, Costco, etc.).Oversee preparation of shipments to ensure compliance with ASN, EDI, carton labeling, pallet configuration, and appointment scheduling requirements.Partner with Customer Service and Logistics teams to resolve retailer chargebacks, shortages, or compliance disputes.Audit outbound orders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and minimal penalties.Inventory & Quality Control
Ensure WMS / ERP transactions are processed accurately and timely.Monitor inventory levels, cycle counts, and discrepancies; coordinate with Inventory Control to resolve issues.Uphold warehouse organization, product quality standards, and FIFO / FEFO rotation practices.Health, Safety, and Compliance
Enforce OSHA, food safety (if applicable), and internal safety standards across all warehouse operations.Conduct regular safety inspections, training, and incident investigations.Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe work environment.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Customer Service, Logistics, and Account Management teams to meet client and retailer requirements.Support continuous improvement projects to optimize cost, accuracy, and service levels.Assist in onboarding new retail partners by reviewing routing requirements and adapting processes accordingly.What we're looking for
35 years of warehouse supervision or team lead experience, preferably in B2B fulfillment or 3PL.Strong working knowledge of major retailer routing guides, EDI transactions, and compliance requirements.Experience with Target, Walmart, Amazon (FBA / FBM), REI, or similar large retailers required.Proficiency in WMS / ERP systems (Unify, SAP, NetSuite, Manhattan, or equivalent).Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.OSHA safety knowledge and / or forklift certification preferred.What you'll bring
