Position Title : Senior DoD SAP ERP Consultant

Location : Alexandria, VA

Clearance Requirements : Secret

Position Status : 6-month contract-to-hire

Onsite Requirements : 2-3 days onsite per week

Pay Rate : $170-200K+

Position Description :

Up to 25% travel | Federal Consulting | Active Interim Secret or higher required

Join a high-impact federal consulting team supporting one of the largest agencies in the U.S.

Department of Defense (DoD) . We're seeking a Senior SAP ERP Consultant with strong analytical, financial, and documentation skills to help resolve unmatched transactions and improve SAP workflow reliability at scale.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of national security, financial integrity, and digital modernization -while helping guide the next evolution of SAP ERP within the DoD .

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve unmatched SAP ERP transactions , identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with finance, procurement, and IT teams to map transaction flows and troubleshoot workflow errors.
  • Draft and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation : SOPs, Desktop Guides, white papers, FAQs .
  • Deliver knowledge-sharing artifacts to support continuous process improvement and training.
  • Train end-users and stakeholders on SAP ERP error resolution best practices .
  • Maintain awareness of DFAS policies and coordinate issue resolution where necessary.
  • Provide oversight and review work of junior consultants and Senior Associates.
  • Report regularly to project leads and government clients.

    • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA / BS / BBA) from an accredited institution.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in federal financial systems or ERP consulting.
  • Active Interim Secret clearance or higher (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with professionalism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in DoD SAP ERP , particularly Navy ERP .
  • Familiarity with Advana and DFAS processes .
  • Strong background in federal collections, disbursements, or reconciliation operations .
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling).
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or Databricks for data querying and automation.
  • One or more relevant certifications (e.g., CPA , CGFM , CDFM , CISA ).
