Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement Engineer Compensation
The pay for this position is $34.00 per hour .
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement Engineer Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
- The required availability for this position is 1st Shift, 8 : 00am–5 : 00pm (on-site) .
- Interviews will be conducted in person.
Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement Engineer Responsibilities
Lead and promote a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) and Operational Excellence (OpEx) across the plant.Coordinate and monitor cost savings and CI initiatives to drive performance improvements.Support deployment of OpEx programs, including performance reviews, communications, and governance processes.Coach and mentor site Black Belt and Green Belt candidates through quality and cost-focused projects.Facilitate and lead Kaizen events and teach Lean / Six Sigma methodologies .Partner cross-functionally with leadership to align key performance indicators (KPIs) and improvement priorities.Utilize data-driven visual management tools (e.g., BOS charts) to track and report on performance metrics such as OEE, waste, and productivity.Support the development of a Zero Loss Mindset to optimize quality, delivery, cost, and safety.Assist in benchmarking, reporting, and continuous skill development across operations.Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement Engineer Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.Minimum 5 years of manufacturing and leadership experience in a plant setting (production, maintenance, process engineering, etc.).Experience implementing Lean and Six Sigma business systems (Green or Black Belt certification preferred).Knowledge of GMPs, FDA guidelines, supply chain, and quality management systems (QMS).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement Engineer Preferred Qualifications
