Job Description
Warehouse Manager expectations are to ensure the seamless flow of raw materials and finished goods, from receiving to dispatch; and will manage the staging for production effectively to prevent costly production bottlenecks, minimizes delays, and maintain consistent manufacturing output, directly impacting customer satisfaction and delivery timelines. The Warehouse Manager will operate and be accountable for Warehouse operations in the following areas :
- Operational and People Efficiency
- Continuously seek to optimize warehouse layout, staffing levels, and technology integration for optimal productivity. This ongoing pursuit of efficiency translates into streamlined processes, faster turnaround times, and greater profitability for the manufacturing facility.
- Redesigns and reconfigures warehouse and scrap yard space for maximum storage capacity and workflow efficiency, as needed and required.
- Understands and is proficient in utilizing the integrated inventory management software.
- Follows all SOPs to and related to inspecting incoming material and outgoing finished goods.
- Improves order accuracy and accelerates dispatch processes.
- Analyzes performance metrics to identify areas for continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Measures and reports on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees’ performances.
- Ensure all employees are following the processes.
- Manages and develops warehouse personnel, optimizing labor utilization and training.
- Communicates job expectations to employees and schedules and communicated daily tasks.
- Monitors attendance, timeliness and breaks of all employees.
- Approves employee timesheets in the payroll system.
- Monitors, manages, and ensures training is being completed for all new hires and existing employees.
- Works professionally with all departments and is regarded as a leader to the team.
- Support and steps in when needed to manage and assist warehouse team.
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
- Inventory Accuracy & Control
- Maintains precise and reliable inventory records through continuous monitoring and advanced tracking systems. This meticulous control reduces errors that can severely impact the bottom line, from overstocking to critical shortages, ensuring capital is efficiently utilized.
- Reduces inventory errors and accounts for accuracy of all inventories.
- Minimizes production delays caused by unforeseen stockings or miscounts.
- Prevents excessive capital from being tied up in redundant or obsolete inventory.
- Conducts regular cycle counts and comprehensive annual physical inventories.
- Utilizes inventory management system for real-time tracking and reporting.
- Identifies and addresses the root causes of inventory discrepancies by implementing lasting solutions.
- Ensure shipments and inventory transactions are accurate.
- Completes a monthly physical inventory audit with CFO accurately and timely.
- Maintain items records, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status.
- Improve raw material and finish goods inventory visibility to the company related departments.
- Finish other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Safety & Compliance Management
- Upholds stringent safety protocols and ensures strict adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and other industry-specific regulations. This commitment fosters a secure working environment, protects employees, and significantly mitigates legal and financial risks associated with workplace incidents.
- Conducts recurrent department safety training sessions for all warehouse staff, ensuring full compliance and awareness.
- Ensures proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials according to strict guidelines.
- Investigates all incidents and accidents, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Manages and overseas routine equipment maintenance, fork trucks and inspection schedules for safety compliance.
- Ensure all forklift checklists are being filled out daily and all work orders are being filled out and turned into maintenance for repair.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree and relevant experience in related field preferred5 years of related Managerial experience working in a warehouse requiredExperience working in a manufacturing warehouse preferredExperience working in a foundry will be a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to create and present ideas, reports, and budgets in various formatsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyExcellent time management skills with the ability to assign and delegate tasksProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareKnowledge with ERP system will be a plusExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailBenefits
