Security Officer - Unarmed Site - Multiple Shifts

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site in Gastonia, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of automotive industries.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your primary responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to promote a secure environment, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. You will play a key role in maintaining order and assisting visitors and staff, reflecting Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. Pay Rate : $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeWed11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Thur03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Fri03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sat11 : 00 AM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting findings as appropriate.
  • Assist with enforcing property rules and / or regulations as directed by the client or Allied Universal.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding security-related matters and / or incidents at the location.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including guiding occupants during drills or actual emergencies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
