We are a business, specializing in the design and manufacturing of fabricated goods, who is seeking an Engineering Manager for our Apopka, FL headquarters. - Analyze existing processes, identifying areas for automation, and design automated systems to meet specific requirements.
- Design, implement, and refine product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Create simulations to test and optimize automated systems before implementation, identifying potential issues and making necessary adjustments.
- Install and configure automated systems on-site, ensuring proper integration with existing infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, identify and resolve malfunctions, and perform necessary maintenance tasks.
- Create detailed documentation for automated systems, including design specifications, operating procedures, and user manuals.
- Work with different departments to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
- Travel to locations for meetings, inspections, and functional tests
- Provide continuous improvements for manufacturing, design, and engineering department functions
Requirements :
Bachelor of Science from an accredited institution (ABET) in Engineering3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environmentMinimum of 5 years of experience in Automation & Controls EngineeringProficient in PLC programmingProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteAdvanced mechanical, electrical, and / or general engineering problem solving skillsExcellent communication skillsExperience with ERP / MRP programsStrong analytical and problem resolution skillsAbility to be hands-onRespectful and professional verbal and written communicationsAbility to prioritize multiple tasksNice to Have :
Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing industries.Knowledge of CNC machine integration and CAD / CAM automation.Familiarity with industrial networking (Ethernet / IP, Modbus, Profibus).Professional certifications (e.g., CAP, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco etc.).Adaptable – able to maintain effectiveness in a changing environment.Effective communicator – able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical staff.Work Location : Onsite-Apopka, FL - Reliable commute to work is required.
