Evaluates patient assessments and responses to interventions and take appropriate action according to established standards. Maintains up-to-date knowledge and demonstrates competence with required registered nurse competencies. Has thorough knowledge of the various kinds of medications administered. Assess labor progression, and manages induction of labor and cervical ripening. Performs fetal heart monitoring, and neonatal assessments. Recognize and manages neonatal sepsis. Competently manages obstetric medical emergencies (prolapsed cord, breech delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, precipitous delivery, uterine rupture, placental abruption) Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred BLS certification required within 3 months of hire ACLS certification within 1 year of hire NRP certification within 6 months of hire Current licensed Wisconsin RN Electronic Fetal monitor Certification with 2 years of hire OB experience preferred

It manages available nursing resources and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to provide quality, cost-effective patient care. This position is required to float to other nursing departments as necessary, to meet patient care needs. This position is located at Black River Memorial Hospital :
- Night Shift - 72 hours per pay period, with every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation
