The Program Manager will lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of multiple educational programs and events aligned with NIH guidelines. This role serves as the pivotal connector among diverse teams and stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration, communication, and alignment across multiple project streams. The ideal candidate excels at managing logistics, timelines, grant requirements, program materials, participant engagement, and fostering collaboration to deliver high-quality, cohesive programs.
Day to day work involves tasks across the lifespan of education program development, including coordinating logistics such as scheduling, venues, technology, and materials, maintaining detailed project plans and grant timelines, acting as a central hub for communication between faculty, advisors, program staff, and external partners, managing stakeholder relationships, facilitating meetings, contributing to content and program evaluation, and supporting program communications and branding as needed.
What You Will Do :
- Project Identification
- Identify and organize projects by defining project scope, goals and deliverables
- Perform needs analyses to ensure that institutional needs are met
- Identify key stakeholders and appropriate project team members
- Project Initiation and Planning
- Secure project approval, determines resource availability, timeline and financial commitment, and manages project progress
- Facilitate discussions to meet mutually agreed upon goals
- Coordinate complex customer input, ideas and feedback
- Complete detailed project plan documents, including project work breakdown structure, schedule, roles and responsibilities
- Manage and communicate project objectives and goals to the project team
- Present project plan documents to key stakeholders and audiences
- Project Execution
- Manage project execution from start to finish including tracking progress, identifying issues and mitigating risks
- Establish rapport with collaborating departments and teams
- Meet regularly with project sponsors including to communicate progress toward project milestones and project status, provide insights into project health, proactively escalate issues and provide recommendations for bringing projects back into alignment with expected outcomes when needed
- Project Closure
- Complete post-project evaluations to determine project outcomes
- Ensure project outcome is in alignment with desired impact and results
- Complete lessons learned and present outcomes and findings to key stakeholders and audiences
- Assemble and archive project documents
Education Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree RequiredExperience Qualifications :
At least three (3) years of project management, quality or process improvement experience RequiredAt least five (5) years of project management, quality or process improvement experience PreferredAt least five (5) years of business analysis experience PreferredAt least one (1) year of experience managing cross-functional teams PreferredPrevious experience in a healthcare or research related environment PreferredSkills and Abilities :
