Payroll Coordinator

Location : Kalamazoo, MI

Compensation : $40,000 - $50,000

Schedule : M-F 8am-5pm (flexible hours)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review timecards for accuracy

Ensure correct coding, identify missing time, and validate compliance with pay policies

  • Collaborate with HR and supervisors

    • Address payroll inquiries, provide explanations, and maintain policy adherence

  • Manage payroll tickets

    • Utilize a ticketing system to process requests, such as pay adjustments

  • Support multi-state payroll

    • Assist in payroll coordination for manufacturing employees across seven states, including two union groups

  • Engage in timekeeping projects

    • Limited involvement in system updates and enhancements

    Qualifications : Minimum :

  • 1-5 years of experience with timekeeping, time evaluation, and understanding overtime rules

    • Preferred :

  • Exposure to multi-state payroll compliance and payroll processing (training available)
