Armed Security Officer - Corrections Facility

As an Armed Security Officer in Bayboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Fri 05 : 45 PM - 06 : 00 AM Sat 05 : 45 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain order within the premises.
  • Report incidents, observations, and / or irregularities promptly to the appropriate personnel according to site-specific protocols.
  • Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and verify identification as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency services when necessary in accordance with established procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and / or military roles.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
