Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in New Bern, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role includes providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while monitoring assigned areas. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Pay Rate : $14.25 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Tue 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Thur 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sat 02 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both interior and exterior areas.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and / or authorizations for individuals entering the premises.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Document observations and incidents in daily activity reports as required by site policies.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and thorough patrols of the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
