Position Summary

The Assistant Chief of Police plays a critical leadership role within Tarian Group's Company Police Department, with a specific focus on overseeing healthcare-related law enforcement operations.

This position provides direct support to the Chief of Police in the daily management of department operations, strategic planning, officer performance, and client relations-particularly across Tarian's healthcare clients.

The role ensures the delivery of high-quality, client-focused police services and operational excellence in regulated and sensitive environments.

This leader also serves as Acting Chief when required and is instrumental in advancing the organization's core values of integrity, accountability, service, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a key advisor to the Chief of Police on policy, training, technology, equipment, and personnel deployment-especially in healthcare environments.
• Provide timely briefings on investigations, staffing needs, performance trends, and sensitive incidents.
• Directly oversee field operations across multiple client locations with a primary focus on healthcare facilities. Act as department head in the absence of the Chief of Police.
• Collaborate with Human Resources on personnel issues, including workers' compensation, safety, and compliance.
• Assist in developing and executing departmental goals, staffing plans, compliance initiatives, and strategic performance benchmarks. Lead initiatives to improve service quality, officer preparedness, and alignment with healthcare safety regulations.
• Build and maintain strong client partnerships, particularly with hospital administrators, compliance leads, and public safety partners.
• Address feedback, inquiries, and complaints with professionalism and discretion.
• Travel regionally (up to 25%) to support site inspections, leadership meetings, client relations, and training support.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by executive leadership.
