Under the supervision of the HCBS Programs Director, the HCBS floater is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality services to individuals and staff. The program floater is responsible for ensuring coverage in each HCBS program along with the day-to-day building needs. This is a per diem position.

HCBS Programs Floater :
- Under the supervision of the HCBS FSS &Semp Coordinator , the HCBS program floater will foster independence in individuals through Each Program, (Com hab, Prevoc, SEMP and day hab) Staff Action Plan as applicable for the program that will be covered.
- The floater will ensure all programs are covered and assist with the day-to-day needs of the building.
- Counsel’s consumers while providing supervision, training and assistance in accomplishing activities of daily living and independent living skills.
- Maintains up-to-date program notes, outcome notes and billing for each consumer assigned on a daily basis
- Depends on the need of the program physically assist / coach consumers with toileting and other personal hygiene needs on a daily basis.
- As needed, transports consumers to various activities, including volunteer activities.
- Maintain agency vehicles to ensure safety. Submits all gas receipts to Coordinator.
- Assists consumers in and out of the van during activities.
- Ensures the facility is clean and notifies maintenance staff and / or supervisor of any issues
- Maintains professional dress and attitude as a role model for individuals and staff.
- Always ensures the safety and wellbeing of all individuals.
- Attends mandatory training and / or meetings as scheduled, including those held outside of regular work hours.
- Maintains up to date all necessary first aid and CPR certifications, as well as annual trainings requirements by OPWDD and the Agency.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Authority :
This position exercises considerable initiative and independence in setting goals, accomplishing activities, and completing consumer outcomes. Under the general HCBS FSS& Semp Coordinator the Floater will maintain a professional and responsible work environment for the program.

High School diploma or GEDCurrent NY State driver’s licenseExperience working with community human service providers and working with Developmentally Disabled populationMust be bilingualBasic cooking skillsAbility to follow oral and written directions.Ability to maintain confidentiality and to follow all Ibero Policy and Procedure.A combination of training and experience other than the specified, if judged to be adequate for the job, may be accepted by the President and CEOPhysical Demands :
The position does require occasional standing, squatting, lifting of up to approximately 10 lbs.
