In this position...

The Ford Electrified Systems Engineering team is looking for a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Systems Engineer to help design and maintain current and future HIL battery simulators which serve as the testbeds for Battery Management System (BMS) software validation. You will work in a team environment to deliver HIL battery simulator testbeds on time with efficiency and quality.

As a HIL Systems Engineer, you will develop expertise in electric and hybrid vehicle high voltage traction battery fundamentals, gain knowledge in vehicle electrical and communication architectures, and become familiar with Ford's Global Product Development System.

This position collaborates closely with HIL Hardware Engineers, HIL software engineers, electrical technologists, suppliers, BMS Systems Engineers, BMS Software Developers, and Test Engineers to develop a strong understanding of the vehicle functions and implement appropriate design strategies for new features and updates.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any related field of education.
• 2+ years' experience developing or testing automotive embedded control systems.
• 2+ years\' experience in MATLAB and Simulink model development.
• 2+ years' experience developing hardware-in-the-loop systems for testing embedded control system.
