Fuel Transport / Delivery Driver

JOB DESCRIPTION : FUEL TRANSPORT / DELIVERY DRIVER

Summary :

Safely and on time, our drivers transport fuel from suppliers to where it’s needed, keeping America’s wheels rolling.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Pick up and deliver product to storage facility / customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner, ensuring the truck is operated in a safe manner at all times
• Follow all guidelines and regulations for hauling petroleum products
• Maintain logs with each shipment, completing daily invoices and reports
• Inspect trucks and trailers per DOT requirements (brakes, engine oil, water levels, lights, loading hoses, etc.). Complete maintenance report on all deficiencies.
• Report all accidents, traffic violations, and damage to vehicles.
• Complete daily maintenance report and notify supervisor of any needed repairs.
• Connect hoses between trailer and unloading / loading facility and monitor unloading / loading process to avoid spills and ensure that equipment is functioning properly.
• Manage all aspects of the load on truck and be responsible for all shortages and damages
• Maintain cleanliness of truck both inside and out.
• Ensure on time loading and unloading and communicate with vendors / customers if delays occur
• Provide excellent customer service, treating all customers in a friendly and courteous manner
• Observe company, federal, state and local policies, regulations and laws, and adhere to company safety policies at all times
• Be available to load and / or unload your loads as needed
• Make out daily trip sheet and other paper work as required
• Complete any other duties or special projects as assigned
