Sr. Mechanical HVAC Engineer

RPA Engineering is looking for a driven and energetic

• Senior Mechanical Engineer P.E.
• to integrate with our dynamic team and serve our world-class clientele, supporting building and facilities projects. The role will focus on
• HVAC design
• related activities including performing calculations, selecting equipment, and supporting the development of construction documents, such as drawings and specifications. The candidate will be a leader who helps to mentor and teach junior engineers and designers, and support fieldwork including existing condition surveys, progress field reports, and project close-out punch lists.
• Education & Experience

_Required_

BS Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university program.

Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure.

12+ years of related experience in an engineering consulting firm within the AEC and MEP / FP industry.

Possess the ability to perform designs, calculations, reports, equipment selections, and specifications, drafting and modeling of mechanical HVAC.

Understanding of applicable codes and standards for the design of mechanical HVAC systems.

Demonstrated knowledge of graphical standards as it relates to producing construction documents.

Proficiency in utilizing Revit and AutoCAD software.

Familiarity with Carrier HAP and / or Trane Trace software.

_Preferred_

Possess the ability to perform designs, calculations, reports, equipment selections, and specifications, drafting and modeling of plumbing or fire protection.

General understanding of applicable codes and standards for the design of plumbing or fire protection systems.

Familiarity with various software suites, such as MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel), and Bluebeam Revu.
