Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Cold Forging Tool & Die Maker located in New Century, KS. The Tool & Die Maker will be responsible for working a lathe for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining dies and tooling used in single die, two blow and 2 die, 3 blow machines cold forging processes. Daily tasks include interpreting blueprints and schematics, setting up and operating machining equipment, performing inspections, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The individual will work closely with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve tool and die issues to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with a lathe in Tool and Die making, including fabrication, repair, and maintenance
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Skills in operating and setting up machining equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
• Knowledge of cold forging processes and techniques
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in the aerospace or defense industry is a plus
• Relevant certifications or a degree in a related field is preferred
