Position Summary
The Assistant Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and execution of Barrier1 projects from purchase order through delivery and installation. This role is hands-on, working closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing and construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate communication between customers, contractors, engineers, and internal departments.
- Support the preparation of project submittals, drawings, and required documentation.
- Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or issues.
- Track project expenses, purchase orders, and invoicing in collaboration with Finance.
- Assist in organizing installation logistics, including freight coordination and on-site scheduling.
- Maintain detailed project files, reports, and status updates.
- Support compliance with contract requirements, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Participate in project meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.1–3 years of experience in project coordination, manufacturing, or construction.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems (Cetec preferred) a plus.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Familiarity with manufacturing and construction practices strongly preferred.Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.What We Offer
