Overview
FT Technical Specialist - Administrative Services Systems Specialist at Lansing Community College. This position reports to the Administrative Services Executive Director and provides technical support for MIS, IT infrastructure, building control systems (energy management, HVAC, lighting, and fire), the public safety radio communications system, mass alert communications, access controls, and camera control systems. On-campus presence is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Administrative Services division systems including Facilities, Police Department, Auxiliary Services, Occupational & Environmental Safety, and Emergency Management.
- Support management information systems (MIS) and information technology infrastructure; maintain and troubleshoot building control, access control, camera control, mass notification, and radio communications systems.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director for Administrative Services and other division departments to ensure reliable operation of critical systems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Demonstrated work experience with information technology infrastructure and MIS, including building control systems (energy management, HVAC, lighting, fire / life safety), access control systems, camera systems, mass notification systems, or public safety radio communication systems.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with specific MIS and systems such as ChargePoint-EVSE, RAVE Alert, Siemens building control and fire systems, Michigan Public Safety Communications (RF) System (MPSCS), or security systems like Traka key management, cameras, and card access (e.g., Lenel OnGuard).Demonstrated experience with project management principles, data analysis, and report writing.Experience working on a college or university campus.Additional Information
