Application Support Engineer, Factory Software
The Factory Software team is responsible for building software solutions that allow the company to redefine manufacturing and production. Our software enables users to virtually control the manufacturing process and machines, interact with and track the flow of production material, and gain quick and powerful insights about the production line.
We are looking for a highly motivated Application Support Engineer to join the Factory Software team. The ideal candidate will have a good balance of building relationships with stakeholders, solving technical problems, and knowledge of enterprise systems (MES, WMS, ERP). You will be the technical expert of our systems and provide answers to technical problems submitted by internal customers.
What You'll Do
- Understand and own the end-to-end integration of MES and ERP applications as they apply to the production site
- Triage issues that come from production sites and ensure they are being resolved or routed to the proper teams
- Create workarounds for issues that require immediate solutions if a permanent one is not immediately available
- Document troubleshooting guides and provide training to users so that they are empowered to resolve issues on their own
- Work as an incident commander of production-critical calls that require coordination between cross-functional teams
- Root cause analysis with cross-functional teams and provide clear, concise, data / log-backed context on issues as well as immediate corrective action and / or planned preventative action to mitigate future negative impacts
- Maximize productivity in a constantly changing environment of shifting priorities
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field, evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent experienceKnowledge of any MES, WMS, or ERP system2+ years of support experience2+ years of working knowledge of SQL1+ year of experience with Python, Go, or another software development language1+ year of experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, SplunkMust be able to understand integrated systems and their dependenciesStrong organizational skills along with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyThe individual must be well-versed in all Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and after business hoursBenefits
