They are seeking a Controller who will analyze data and will work with the CEO, using financial information to make strategic decisions about the companys future. This opportunity will spearhead the entire accounting / finance department and has an opportunity for upwards growth.

Job Details

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Coordinate all audit activity.
  • Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the organizations financial status.
  • Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the executive leadership; continuously collaborate with the executive leadership to assess the financial efficacy of program operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations.
  • Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
  • Leverage strengths of the finance team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training programs in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA will be highly desirable.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, ideally in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Proven expertise in finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software; proficiency in accounting software and experience with a software system implementation.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with a hands-on, lead-by-example style.
