Are you a seasoned Legal Secretary passionate about the law, with a knack for detailed research and case management? Our prestigious law firm is seeking a Legal Secretary to join our dynamic team. This is an ideal role for an individual with a strong legal background, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional support to our legal team and clients.

Responsibilities :

As a Legal Secretary, your key responsibilities will include :

1. Conducting comprehensive legal research and case analysis to support attorneys in case preparation.

2. Managing case files effectively, ensuring all relevant information and documents are properly organized and easily accessible.

3. Drafting and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable legal formats and regulations.

4. Maintaining a high level of confidentiality in all interactions and communications.

5. Liaising with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals in a professional and courteous manner.

6. Coordinating and scheduling meetings, depositions, hearings, and other appointments for attorneys.

7. Assisting in the preparation of legal arguments, applications, declarations, and motions.

8. Nurturing client relationships, ensuring their needs are met, and their concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.

Qualifications :

The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications :

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Secretary or a similar role in the legal industry.

2. Proficiency in legal research and case management tools.

3. Excellent knowledge of legal terminologies, regulations, court procedures, and the legal system.

4. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.

5. Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

6. High level of professionalism and discretion, with the ability to handle confidential information sensitively and responsibly.

7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of work.

8. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal software.

9. Paralegal certification or a degree in law, or a related field, would be an added advantage.
