Job Title : Legal Assistant

Job Responsibilities :
- Assist attorneys with case management and legal document preparation
- Draft and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support attorney arguments
- Maintain and organize client files, both physical and electronic
- Schedule court appearances, depositions, and client meetings
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Prepare and file court documents in accordance with court rules and deadlines
- Gather and organize evidence and exhibits for case preparation
- Assist with trial preparation, including creating trial binders and exhibit lists
- Manage attorney calendars and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Provide general administrative support, including answering phones and managing mail
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive client information
Skills Required :
2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in family lawBachelor's degree required, paralegal certification preferredStrong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and family law statutesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in legal research tools and methodsAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and ExcelExperience with legal practice management softwareStrong organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentProfessional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive situations with discretionExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
