Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC seeks an Associate, Research in New York, NY.

Support routine COO functions and department operations including but not limited to budgeting and marketing. Analyze data and internal metrics to help develop and inform strategy. Evaluate modern solutions and drive integration and adoption of new tools across the workforce. Analyze specific industries and companies including specific macroeconomic trends. Build relationships with global colleagues including salespeople, traders, external clients and vendors. Complete Excel lookups, pivot tables, charting, and data manipulation. Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week.

Salary : Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $175,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements :

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Financial Analyst, or a closely related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience with : analyzing technology companies, identifying compute cycles, articulating AI enablers and adopters, and discussing investment opportunities across the tech stack; GenAI technologies, models, and the vendor landscape; thematic idea generation; data analysis, cleaning, and visualization; equity performance analysis; statistical analysis; accounting; finance; economics; financial modeling; research reports and written communication on market trends; presenting research, and pitching investment ideas to stakeholders; Microsoft office; Excel analysis, charting, vlookups, and pivot tables.
