Payroll Administrator

Description

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team in Huntington Beach, California. This Contract to permanent position requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in managing high-volume, multi-state payroll operations and a strong understanding of compliance standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively across departments to ensure seamless payroll processing.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 235 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Oversee multi-state payroll operations, ensuring compliance with regulations in California, Arizona, and Colorado.

Process garnishments, resolve payroll discrepancies, and maintain time and attendance systems.

Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries with attention to detail.

Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit standards during payroll processing.

Utilize Paycom systems to track timekeeping and maintain accurate payroll records.

Generate payroll reports and analytics using Excel tools, such as Pivot Tables.

Collaborate with various departments to address payroll-related concerns and support year-end reporting requirements.

Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including handling multi-state payroll.

Proficiency in payroll systems, particularly Paycom, and strong skills in Excel.

Comprehensive understanding of payroll compliance standards and best practices.

Experience in processing garnishments and preparing journal entries.

Bachelor's degree preferred but not mandatory.

Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced work environment while maintaining attention to detail.
