Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions by gathering and analyzing requirements, improving processes, and delivering data-driven insights. This role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.

Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis

• Engage with stakeholders to understand business objectives and challenges.
• Document business needs in clear formats such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), use cases, and user stories.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.

5. Problem-Solving

6. Documentation

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).

7+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role.

Strong proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., BPMN, SWOT, gap analysis).

Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills :

Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).

Experience in Agile and Waterfall project environments.

Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
