SALARY : $60,000-$70,000

SUMMARY : The ideal candidate will be a resourceful and energetic team member who wants to grow and learn about all aspects of fundraising. The Development Coordinator must have good writing skills and be an organized, keen, collaborative, and flexible project manager who can build and maintain strong relationships. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Research, coordinate and write proposals and reports for a wide variety of corporate and foundation grants with a focus on renewals as well as individual giving proposalsCreate and maintain the internal calendar to track and ensure the timely submission of funding proposals, grant renewals, and required reportsMonitor program compliance for continuity for grant / gift administration in collaboration with finance and program colleaguesEstablish and manage stewardship and donor relations program for Westhab’s donorsResearch prospective individual and institutional funders to create briefings for Vice President and CEOMaintain the donor database, produce reports to track fundraising efforts, and help analyze data to inform strategiesSupport development events and projects including proofreading documentsSupport operations for board and committee meetingsAssist with communications including social media and author nominationsContribute to Development team goals by accomplishing duties as requiredEXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES :
Superior writing skills including the ability to capture the purpose, importance, and impact of Westhab’s programs and projects and craft clear and compelling funding proposalsAbility to cultivate strong relationshipsHigh level of personal productivity with demonstrated follow-throughSuccessfully and independently manage multiple, simultaneous projects with the ability to prioritizeKeen attention to detailHighly organizedDevelopment experience preferredHave an understanding of and passion for Westhab’s missionAbility to travel throughout Westchester County and NYC for meetings and eventsAGENCY PROFILE AND EMPLOYEE EXPECTATIONS :
