The position resides within the Office of Research Policy & Compliance (RPC), which provides leadership in shaping, interpreting, and implementing federal, state, UC and UCLA research-related policies, procedures, and guidance.
Position Summary
The Senior Export and International Engagement Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and administration of the campus export control and international engagement compliance program. The position reports to the Director of Export Controls (Director) and plays a crucial role in facilitating conformance with federal laws and regulations, as well as with University policies and procedures, and identifying and mitigating compliance and reputational risk. The incumbent helps to provide education and guidance to the campus community on these topics. Please include cover letter and resume.

Qualifications
Internal / external audit, research administration, and / or compliance experience. (Preferred)General knowledge of business processes and shipping would be appreciated, but can be trained.Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive, detailed analyses of complex regulations, to use good judgement in assessing situations, and to employ effective problem-solving techniques. (Required)Excellent written and oral skills to ensure the effective exchange of ideas with a wide audience and thorough documentation of work. (Required)Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deliver training. (Required)Ability to work effectively with the Export Control team and with stakeholders to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships across the campus. (Required)Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and changing priorities. (Required)Ability to maintain confidentiality. (Required)Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow through on assignments to completion with minimal direction. (Required)Experience with, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, web browsers, Visual Compliance, and electronic mail programs.
