Day Electrician

Overview

Responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of electrical equipment in the facility.

Responsibilities

This role is a technical support lead role. The successful interaction with Operations is a critical part of the Day Electrician position.

Qualifications

Required :

Excellent safety and attendance record

Strong communication skills

Proficient with electrical instruments, hand / power tools

Training or technical degree in industrial electricity with extensive experience in :

• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
• Hydraulic & Pneumatic controls
• Power transformers and Power Distribution Equipment
• Protection Relays

Preferred :

Strong electrical aptitude with troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Know and understand electrical principles and electronics

Knowledge of diverse electrical equipment

Knowledge of electrical testing and maintenance requirements
