Position Highlights
Minimum 2+ years of litigation experience , ideally in California employment law : PAGA, wage & hour, discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, class actions.
Candidates from either employee-side or employer-side defense will be considered.
Firm handles an approx. 50 / 50 split between single-plaintiff and class-action defense matters.
Billable requirement is approx. 1,700 hours annually ; firm has previously allowed attorneys to set their own target if desired.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
Litigation experience involving California employment law issues : wage & hour (including PAGA), discrimination / retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, class representative work.
Ability to transition between complex class-action work and individual plaintiff / defendant matters.
Superior drafting, writing, research and analytical skills.
Strong verbal communication and client-interaction skills; ability to work in both in-person and virtual client meetings.
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment, maintain organized files (electronic / paper) and produce timely reports.
Comfortable being onsite in Sacramento ~3 days / week (or more remote for exceptional candidates).
Admission to the California Bar or able to obtain quickly.
