Excellent organizational skills, follow-up, and time-management skills. Strong oral and written communication skills Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer in an office setting. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times. Hourly Rate : $28.00 - $38.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Wilhite Law Firm, an award-winning personal injury law firm, is committed to achieving outstanding results for our clients through skilled legal representation and compassionate client care. We are currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal with expertise in personal injury law to join our team. This role supports litigation attorneys by providing critical research, document preparation, client interviews, and trial preparation, helping build strong cases for our clients.
This role will assist the litigation attorney(s) by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review; interviewing clients and witnesses; research, investigations, and fact checking; and trial preparation.
Draft legal documents such as affidavits, prepare briefs, conduct legal research for trial preparation, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
- Drafts legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories, files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.
- Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to attorneys.
- Interviews clients and witnesses and prepares summaries of their statements.
- Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
- Assists attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings.
- Develops and maintains records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
