Location : Methodist Physicians Clinic - Regency Address : 10060 Regency Circle, Omaha, NE Work Shift : Casual / PRN employees work on an 'as needed' basis to meet the needs of the business. Work days / hours will often vary from week to week Monday through Friday, hours between 8am - 5pm.

The Medical Assistant assists physicians in daily activities such as preparing patients for examination, phlebotomy, injections, assisting providers with entering medication, laboratory and radiology orders, scheduling diagnostic tests and making and receiving phone calls.

Responsibilities : 1. Medical Home

• Documents all lab, procedures, and appointments on tracking forms.
• Completes tracking forms and follows up on missed appointments and procedures.
• Assists Health Coaches by working patient lists and scheduling appointments as directed.

2. At the direction of the provider provides patient and family education to ensure adequate knowledge / awareness and recommends appropriate community resources as needed.

3. Performs telephone triage to determine patient needs by recording and reporting patient condition to provider and advising patient based on provider instructions.

4. Maintains work areas to ensure healthy environmental conditions by cleaning and organizing equipment and rooms.

5. Handles prescription renewals / inquiries to facilitate patient care. Discusses questions with provider and relays information to pharmacy.

6. Provides appropriate care specific to the age of the patient to ensure understanding and comfort level of treatment as outlined in the "Age Specific Criteria".

Schedule : Work Shift : Casual / PRN employees work on an 'as needed' basis to meet the needs of the business. Work days / hours will often vary from week to week Monday through Friday, hours between 8am - 5pm. Must be able to work two shifts per month.
