FLSA Classification : Non-Exempt

Salary Grade / Level / Family / Range : Hourly

Reports to : Yard Manager

Job Description

Summary / objective

The Yard Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks related to the operation and maintenance of the yard.

Essential functions

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Sort and process materials, including but not limited to : ferrous, non ferrous, tires, and batteries
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking the movement of materials
  • Maintain equipment and facilities, including basic maintenance tasks and cleaning
  • Provide support to all departments as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all loca, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and regulations
