JOB REQUIREMENTS : The Les Aspin Center for Government is seeking experienced practitioners with an advanced degree (MA, MPA, MPP, JD, PhD, etc.) to teach one or more 1 to 3 credit courses over 5 to 15 weeks during the Spring 2026 semester. The course topic should relate to the semester theme of "National Security, Foreign Policy, and International Affairs."
The courses will be taught in-person at the Aspin Center in Washington D.C. For a 1-credit short course, we welcome your creativity to teach a 5-week undergraduate seminar on a specific topic based on your expertise (e.g., UN Security Council Resolution 1325, the rise and fall of USAID, COP 29, Indo-Pacific US relations, civil-military relations, international organizations, etc.). For a 2- or 3-credit course (10 or 15 weeks), broader topics relating to the semester theme are appropriate (e.g., anti-terrorism, international political economy).
Duties and Responsibilities : Prepare, design, and teach one or more 1- to 3-credit courses over 5 to 15 weeks during the Spring 2026 semester (depending on course credits).
OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS : Master's Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.
