Job Title : P&C Services Specialist - HR operations
Location : Burbank, CA (Hybrid 2-3 days onsite, flexible days)
Duration : 6 months contract (Possibility for Extension)
Shift time : 10 : 00 AM 7 : 00 PM ET shift preferred to support US and Canada
Role Overview :
The New Joiner Experience Specialist is responsible for creating a welcoming, informative, and compliant onboarding experience for new hires and internal transfers. This role is critical in supporting both employees and hiring managers, ensuring smooth integration into Warner Bros. Discovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Use a variety of HR systems and methods to onboard employees into new roles.
- Process and ensure timely completion of background screenings, adjudications, and escalations.
- Provide direct communication and guidance to new joiners throughout the onboarding process.
- Collaborate with new joiners to complete compliance documents (e.g., Form I-9).
- Act as front-line Tier 1 2 support for People & Culture requests from employees, managers, vendors, and business partners.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, Global Technology & Operations, Facilities, and other teams to resolve escalations and provide a smooth onboarding experience.
- Identify process gaps and opportunities to improve and streamline onboarding workflows.
- Run and analyze reports, queries, and data to support decision-making.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and projects to enhance candidate and employee experience.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Warner Bros. Discovery policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
HR Background : 2+ years of experience in HR operations, service provider, or shared services environment.Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in both electronic communication and virtual meetings.Technical Skills :Experience with HR systems (Workday, ServiceNow preferred).Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).Organization : Highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple workflows and maintain accurate records.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in HR, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience 3+ years HR operations).Experience participating in HR or onboarding projects.Familiarity with shared team files and collaborative tools.Soft Skills
