Location : York, ME 03909

Project Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 2 - 12 hr shifts; 2 Day shifts 7 : 00 am to 7 : 30 pm - and 1 - 12 hour night 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 30 am.

Job Description : Position Summary :

Essential Functions

• Maintains ongoing, high-level surveillance of patients’ cardiac rhythms and notifies nursing clinicians of any rate / rhythm changes according to clinician / provider orders.
• Collection of data necessary for placement of telemetry
• Measures and interprets patients’ heart rhythm and documents on patient record per department standards. of intervals for strip documentation
• Ectopy checks twice per shift
• Daily telemetry box maintenance
• Answers telephone and communicates clearly when receiving information from units or providers. Uses clear and complete communication with the unit personnel when delivering information about changes in patient rhythm.
• Accurate charging of telemetry, chart maintenance
• EKG procedures.
• The Monitor Technician maintains the highest standards of practice in the clinical setting and is responsible for creating exceptional patient / family experiences during the delivery of this care.
• Initiates and discontinues monitoring equipment on admission, transfer, or discharge. Performs configuration as necessary.
