Security Officer - Government Site - Weekends

As a Security Officer in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $13.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime Sat 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM Sun 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Monitor the premises for unusual activity and / or potential hazards, reporting findings as required by site procedures.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and observing persons entering and exiting the location.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and local authorities as needed to address incidents or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with site protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to provide proof of completion.
  • Must have at least 6 months of security related experience.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and / or military roles.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
