Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol - Tech Site

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol - Tech Site in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, provide clear communication, and uphold Allied Universal's values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. Pay Rate : $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Tue 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Wed 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Thur 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Fri 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points as required.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, in accordance with site-specific guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and / or reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
