TRC is partnered with a leading Turbojet manufacturer opening a new facility here in Atlanta and is in search of a Performance Engineer to support the scaling of their product line!
Overview
We are seeking a Performance Engineer to contribute to the development, testing, and optimization of high-performance systems and applications. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our software by leveraging data-driven performance analysis and continuous improvement practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and design solutions that improve system behavior under varying loads.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute performance testing activities to identify system bottlenecks and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to optimize application performance across environments
- Design and implement robust test scenarios for load, stress, scalability, and endurance testing
- Monitor critical system and application performance metrics, analyzing telemetry to inform improvements
- Recommend and implement tuning and optimization strategies based on test findings
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated performance testing frameworks and tools
- Participate in design and architecture reviews to ensure performance considerations are factored in from the outset
- Document test results, analysis, and recommendations clearly and concisely for both technical and non-technical audiences
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical fieldMinimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in performance testing, performance analysis, or a related engineering disciplineExperience with modern performance testing and monitoring tools, such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, or equivalentStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex system behaviorSolid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-based architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)Familiarity with application performance management (APM), logging, and observability solutionsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, QA, and operations teams
