Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities to assist providers and nursing personnel in a specialty clinic. Facilitates patient / physician / provider communication and coordination of care.

Job Functions

• Escorts patients to examination room and obtains vitals and documents in EMR
• Supports physician in documentation of patient's visit by entering physician's dictation in to the EMR system during the patients visit
• Administers prescribed medications / vaccine's and treatments in accordance with clinic policies and scope of certification / licensure
• Prepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment of patients
• Performs room turn over in patient rooms between cases and at the end of day
• Performs specialty procedures / tests as directed by the Physician
• Helps maintain stocked supplies and sterilizes instruments / exam rooms
• Assists in arranging referrals / prior authorizations as necessary
• Provides patient education
• Performs other duties as assigned

Compensation

Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as : the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity. Pay listed does not include any shift, weekend, or other differentials.
