2nd Shift Machine Operator

Description

As a  Transfer Car Operator with Liberty Packaging, you will contribute to the growth of our business by being a key player in safely moving goods and materials around a high traffic industrial environment. As a Transfer Car Operator you will help maximize efficiency of the production process by safely operating mobile equipment to move roll stock from train cars and / or trucks, manage raw materials, accurately scanning inventory in and out of the business, and safely stock rolls according to procedure. This full-time position reports directly to a Corrugator Supervisor at our Liberty Packaging location in Golden Valley, Minnesota.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate mobile equipment such as clamp truck, forklifts, lift trucks, hoists, or other material handling equipment in a high traffic industrial environment
• Accurately utilize an electronic scanning system to include a touch screen monitor located on the forklift, to track inventory levels and product location
• Responsible for regularly completing pre-operation inspection and reporting equipment faults or damages to leadership or maintenance
• Move roll stock from train cars and / or trucks, manage raw materials, accurately scanning inventory in and out of the business, and safely stock rolls according to procedure.
• Follow safety regulations and company guidelines
• Other duties, as assigned

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting pay rate for this position is $25.97 per hour plus hourly shift differential pay.
