Quality Manager
This job is responsible for ensuring that all quality facets within the operation meets our customer expectations, ISO Compliance and adheres to company standards. They are also responsible for managing the day-to-day expectation of the quality team by preparing work schedules, assigning tasks, coordinating the flow of work and assigned projects, overseeing completion of work, and monitoring performance of the team.
This is an onsite role in our Irving, TX location.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide verbal and written inspection, training and audit / inspection results
- Map out the Quality process flows, identify potential process and workflow improvements
- Personally perform internal quality audit work in accordance with developed Quality / Company standards
- Ensure adherence to company policies and process standards, while maintaining employee morale and overseeing the training of new and existing staff
- Work with management to establish department and company goals, and rely on experience, judgment and innovation to achieve them
- Create and utilize reports to accurately represent product flow and task completion rates and percentages
- Participate in operational improvement initiatives at the site
- Liaison between teams, shifts, and departments, and partner with vendor / customer / client representatives
- Drive engagement across area of responsibility and work with the team to foster a strong engage culture. Work with manager to review the peakon score and create action plans within the tool
- Review Tableau reports to ensure that the team / dept is attaining the desired performance metrics. Follow up with the leaders on their areas of opportunity
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment for personnel to work in while ensuring all safety and environmental regulations are followed
- Ensure proper labor utilization and develop staffing requirements
- Conduct interviews for all nonexempt personnel and temporary employees
Requirements
Must have HS Diploma or GEDMinimum of 3-years of experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced, high-volume, manufacturing / repair environment similar to Assurant, York, Lewisville or Tennessee facilityStrong knowledge and abilities with use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Minimum of 3 years prior experience in a quality related role preferably in a manufacturing environmentAbility to identify potential process and workflow improvementsDemonstrated experience with direct supervision and coaching of othersMust have strong verbal and written communication skillsAble to successfully interface with all levels of Company personnel as well as external personnelHigh energy professional with the ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with all suppliers and vendorsStrong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with problem solving, brainstorming sessions, strategy development and conflict resolutionDriven, goal-oriented, never confuses effort with resultsAbility to multitask in a fast paced, dynamic assembly and logistics environmentMay be required to work across multiple shiftsHelpful Skills / Experience
Associates Degree and 3+ years of experience in supervising 15+ hourly associates in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologiesExperience auditing processes and writing work instructionsExperience with ISO 9001 or R2 certificationsPay Range : $54,900.00 - $92,000.00 Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
