Great communication skills and a willingness to be cross trained on the front desk portion of the practice is highly valued.

Responsibilities include :

  • Assist with answering office phone and fielding phone calls from patients to address clinical questions and concerns.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, complete initial intake, and start notes.
  • Documenting in EMR system.
  • Scribe for provider(s) during exam.
  • Assist with procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic procedures.
  • Communicate with insurance companies and / or pharmacies to get prior authorizations for procedures and medications.

    • Qualifications :

  • Strong interpersonal skills & work ethic.
  • High standard of professionalism & integrity.
  • Previous experience as a medical assistant in a healthcare setting.
  • Dermatology experience is desired but not required.
  • Familiarity with scribing (experienced applicants will be contacted first), prior authorizations and medical terminology.
  • Attention to detail & accuracy is a essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and quick on your feet.
  • Bilingual (Spanish speaking) a plus but not required.
