Description :
We are looking for a service technician to perform specialty repair work and maintenance for water treatment technologies in North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and surrounding areas. The company will provide a truck / van, laptop, and phone for service calls.
- Specializes in multiple areas of water treatment technology repair, such as high-purity water systems, water softeners, water reclaim systems, and specialized filtration systems.
- Identifies mechanical problems, either visually or with other diagnostic equipment.
- Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
- Performs repairs, replacements, or maintenance.
- Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems.
- Travel to the home office in Ramsey, MN, to gather tools and parts regularly.
- Ability to travel to the Ramsey office for the first few months for training and onboarding purposes.
- Ability to work on-call hours as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Ability to learn mechanical / electrical systems and concepts.Excellent mechanical repair skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.Ability to read service and repair manuals.Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.Ability to read work orders.Ability to travel periodically throughout the state of Minnesota and surrounding states.Ability to work on an on-call basis.Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.Three (3) years of related experience.Plumbing, HVAC, or controls experience is preferred.Previous experience in water treatment systems is a plus.Valid Driver's License.Clean driving record.Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 40 lbs regularly.Must be able to inspect water treatment technologies to determine repairs needed.Good vision is required to inspect repair work.Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.Pay increase for achieving Journeyperson Water Treatment License (requires accumulating hours (875 hours) and passing a State of MN test)
