Senior Electrical Estimator / Estimating Manager

ABOUT YOU

Our client is seeking a seasoned professional Electric Estimator to lead a team into this market, drive them to grow and increase profits. You will accurately and efficiently estimate and manage projects by building relationships directly with clients on construction and renovation projects requiring electrical contractors. As needed, you will also support the efforts of the Sales & Development staff by estimating electrical portions of lighting projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work

Interface with clients on bid walks

Prepare accurate estimates for remodels, new construction, design builds, or renovation projects

Analyze prints

Prepare professionally detailed proposals

Professionally and efficiently support customer inquiries for electrical work

Attend project kick-off meetings and job sites, as needed, during estimating and implementation stages

Work as an individual sourcing and estimating construction, renovation, and design build opportunities

Estimate sales-generated opportunities with our existing customer base

Participate as required in the final review and presentation of estimates

Support field operations & installers

Support estimating software acquisition and implementation

Support ongoing maintenance and improvements to estimating software

Generate revenue meeting or exceeding company target

Hire, train, retain & supervise additional estimating staff as volume supports it

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE

8+ years experience independently and effectively estimating electrical projects in construction industry with ideal mix of construction, renovation, and design / build experience

Two-year degree in related field preferred

Experience with electrical conceptual estimating, common code requirements, design / build estimating preferred

Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information

Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
